Wisdom 19:17

Therefore, they were struck blind, just like those people who had gathered at the door of one who had also done what was right. A veil of darkness was cast around them, and each one of them groped for the entrance to his own gates.
For while the elements are changed in themselves, as in an instrument the sound of the quality is changed, yet all keep their sound: which may clearly be perceived by the very sight.
These people were also struck with blindness, like the men of Sodom who came to the door of that righteous man Lot. They found themselves in total darkness, as each one groped around to find his own door.
And they were struck with blindness, as those others had been at the doors of the righteous man— When, surrounded by yawning darkness, each sought the entrance of his own door.
Therefore, they were also struck with blindness, like the sinners at the door of the righteous man, when, surrounded by yawning darkness, all of them had to grope their way to their own doorways.
They were stricken also with loss of sight— just as were those at the door of the righteous man— when, surrounded by yawning darkness, all of them tried to find the way through their own doors.
They were stricken also with loss of sight— just as were those at the door of the righteous man— when, surrounded by yawning darkness, all of them tried to find the way through their own doors.

They were stricken also with loss of sight— just as were those at the door of the righteous man— when, surrounded by yawning darkness, each tried to find the way through his own door.
Forsooth they were smitten with blindness, as they in the gates of the just man, when they were covered with sudden darknesses; each man sought the passing (out) of his (own) door. [Smitten forsooth they be with blindness, as they in the gates of the rightwise, with sudden darknesses, when they be covered; each one sought the passing out of his door.]
